Yeah Ralph challenged Roy for awhile.I heard Roy once go on about how effective 'that weird jujitsu stuff is' but he would never have foght Ralph even if he thought that he could win. Roy would take a big paycut and be forced into being humbled in training for a long time and looking like a whitebelt until he was ready. Roy has a lucrative job beating up guys that he is 120 times as talented as.Why maker life tough for yourself?

roy jones is a boxer.. the gracies are nhb fighters-both these types of event have RULES.. if jones fought in nhb, hed lose.. if they fought in boxing, theyd lose.. why dont they have a 'deathmatch' where eyepokes, groin strikes, neck strikes, finger locks and all that shit? that would be more fair.. jones would have the fastest eyepoke around!

yeah so what its not really lethal combat is it.. my point is.. it has some rules.. just like boxing.. so nhb fighters shouldnt criticise boxers because boxing has more rules than their sport.. im sure things would be different if fighters could strike the eyes/throat/groin, and break fingers..

The universe has rules. Everything does.

No.Groin strikes and headbutts are illegal in boxing, and gloves are worn. Vale Tudo is decidedly UNLIKE boxing.

But it is an indisputable truth. Why shouldn't they bring it up?

Srtikes to the throat/groin and finget breaks are allowed in Vale Tudo. And as for eye gouges, I agree,it would change things. But Vale Tudo guys could eye gouge too.
