As I was searching the web for more information about Bushido I’ve found that there was a lot of confusion about the fighting part of Bushido. If I focus on the essence of Bushido - I think of the samurai that lived and died for his master acting in respect and restraint. Many methods of fighting were used but most of them involve what we know think of as karate and swords fights. The practice in the martial arts was something people did in order to become better followers of the Bushido code. Today people use the term Bushido martial arts but these can mean almost any thing that has to do with the Japanese tradition and sometimes even martial arts of other origins.
