I doubt the names come from the same source, I think Lee is an english name, Isn't Christopher Lee english? General Rober E Lee probably was too. I seriously doubt he was part asian.

I think that Lee is a Western name, it's spelt Li in Chinese I think, and that was Bruce Lee's orginal spelling in Chinese? Al

i think the name lee comes from both asian and english but mostly asian look at kamora lee "designer and owner of baby phat products"

It spells Lee in Hong Kong because it's Cantonese but Li in the mainland China as Mandarin. Just the same Chinese character (李).
