I was building this Tamiya RC Model Car kit:
http://dood.ca/benz.jpg And the side view mirrors needed holes drilled into the lexan body in order to mount. All the other holes in the car were pre-made, so why they didn't make these ones i dont know. So i pulled out my Spydie Calypso Jr. SE and proceeded to use it to drill a hole.
Now lexan is a pretty durable material, but it gave way to my sharp spydie... it was almost like fiberglass. and ended up taking chunks out of the tip of my knife O_o ... i ignored it and drilled the other side. Now i'm still prettry surprised that my knife blade chipped due to the lexan. I think it was probably because of the way that serrations are only single edge bevelled and probably contributed to the edge of my Calypso Jr being thinner and less robust than a regular v-ground knife. Now I trashed this spydie pretty good... i was trying to sharpen the serrations in the dark with a diamond rod sharpener while watching a movie.. the next day i looked at it.. there were chunks of the serations dangling off the knife and bits of knife edge falling off cuz i missed the angle hehe.
I really didn't have a point for this post, its just a short little story

Anyone else do something stupid like that?
