I have been a student of many different forms of karate and so on and so forth, but in my research and my classes no one ever covers the aspect of using your head as a weapon. Does anyone have any more information on this, you can e mail me or reply to the newsgroup e mail preffered though thank you Justin

I posted a muli-part series on headbutting about a year or so ago - I will look around to see if I still have it.

Regards,

We actually have headbutting as a technique. Kikakuken is it's name, the demons horn or something similar in english. Well, the thought is that you should hit with the top side of your forhead or with the bump in the back of your head.

How you use it is up to you. I mean you really have to build up a reflex to headbutt someone when the moment occures, same with biting, eyegouging and probably everything.

Be careful with headbutting, I have seen almost as many guys mess themselves up throwing them as they've messed up guys they've butted. Watch Brazil Valer Tudo sometime, headbutting is dangerous for the thrower and throwee

Just be careful to not hit with the area around your eyebrow.
