Green Dragon Society?????

Hello, Does anyone know anything about the Green Dragon Society?? I think they claim to be teaching Chinese kung fu and somehow affiliate themselves with Shaolin temple. can anyone tell me more? are they for real or is that just to attract students? how good are they?

Go to www.kungfuonline.com, into the forum group. Enter the Kung Fu discussion. Hit 'search' at the top and type green dragon. Should be some infom, I remember reading a few posts about it.

We are for real, but we are not related to Green Dragon Studios (John Allen and his girls) as that aol'er thinks. We teach traditional Chinese Gung-Fu in a traditional temple monastery system. For what it's worth, several of us just returned from training at Shaolin, but it is not our main art. Our main art is Northern China's 15th century Chi Tao Chu'an Gung-Fu, which teaches the Eight Animal Fighting Styles.

I know of two Green Dragon Societies. One was (is?) a reputable videotape distributor. Connections with Shaolin are easy to claim. The other was (is?) a Chicago based group founded in the early '70s (I think) bragging about their 'death touch'. The founder died under mysterious circumstances - many rummors of delayed death touch - just like the rummors regarding Bruce Lee. They were considered questionable 25 years ago. Don't know what ever happened to them.

Yeah, they are still available, although their response time lately has suffered, as in they are on a par with the rest of the bunch now.

Although they have plans for a website, nothing is up yet.
