For any other flashlight nuts in here, I have to recommend the Streamlight LED series if I did not mention it already. They have some really nice plastic lights with rubber grips and a pushbutton switch. I got the 7 LED model a while back and it works great. The LEDs are actually white (not bluish like some cheap ones) and the unit itself is not too expensive ($25 for a 4aa, 7 LED light). I think this model is listed as 160 hours. For $35 they have a 3 C-cell light with 10 LEDs (300-something hours), although I have not tried that model. The 7 LED light is on par with a typical 2c krypton light, but of course a better beam.

They had some new products at the SHOT show, and it looks like they may be discontinuing the original infinity in favor of the AAA powered Sonic:

I read the original Task Light might be discontinued in favor of the Ultra G (BTW, check out countycomm.com for great prices on these). The Sonic might be the best competitor to the Arc AAA

I saw the first LED lights from the CC Crane company. They have a 2 led light for ~$29, is there such a quality difference that they can charge that much more over some of the '7' leds you mention?

It's a flashlight with TEN LED's. Where does NEED even enter into it Man?!

My daily carry light is an Inova X5 and I love it.

I like the Inova also. It's really cool, BUT . . . it runs for 20 hours on $9 of batteries while the Streamlight runs 150 hours on $3 of batteries?

True, but... the lithium batteries store longer. And I frequently go days between uses of the Inova. And I like the Inova a whole lot more than the Streamlight. I do have a number of conventional battery LED lights in my car and on my key chain. Never have enough blades, light sources or books...

Yeah, I've got dozens. Certainly for carrying it the Inova is more convenient.

I also have 4 different lights (ketchain and pen-like) labeled as 'Coast Cutlery,' although I don't think they make their own knives so I have to wonder who makes the flashlights. But they work very well. Same things are available at Target under the Eddie Baouaoouoaoauer brand name. They also make one called the 'moon lenser' that Amazon sells (no equivelent at Target) which is similar to the regular keychain model, but it has some kind of german lense on it that makes the beam PERFECTLY round and evenly spread. It's like a mini spotlight.
