Just like we can all assume by your dodging the question that you are most likely a book learned martial artist. Well... not a REAL martial artist since you have yet to answer a direct question and have danced around your qualifications. Pretty pathetic on your part dear.
Eis has no rank in any art. Eis has no 'real' experience in any art. She does pretty good at throwing out all the proper wording for everything, but this is just a simple matter of her being able to read.
Actually, i have come to the conclusion that Eis is a troll. Actually, a very good troll. She/He has been able to get the tempers going with the snide remarks and baiting tactics. Statements about issues she/he has no experience with.
Eis.. you have been outted my dear. But i do congradulate you on your expert Trolling technique.

[snipped]
Good show, Stephie. Keep pumping this kind of repartee and maybe someone will swallow it.
Whether anyone agrees with you or not, it's painfully obvious your game is to try to extrapolate from books. You've claimed to study a variety of arts under 'famous masters', which in fact should be seen for what it is: you 'feel' like you've studied under them because they said some things you agree with. The 'study' amounts to little more than 'wish I had studied with, because they say things I've always wanted to believe in'. LOL
I'd say Manuel has figured out your game. So has most everyone else. But you're entertaining, I'll give you that. Keep floating those winners by us.

As I said, I wish I could. I do read and study martial arts, but I also practice daily, and have for decades. It helps not to have a real job.
I think that I have mentioned only one of my teachers and then only obliquely.
I wish I were smart enough to make all of this up, but I am not. I have been fortunate to have some very good teachers. Very little is my own thoughts.

nah. you read books, and magazines, watch movies and lurk and argue on rma. you're good at what you do, but it isn't martial arts.
of course, you also inferred that all of your teachers were losers. so, there again, your words aren't all that trustworthy.
operative phrase: 'very little is my own thoughts.' it's from books, magazines, and other sources which do not require any more effort than page turning or button pushing on your part. you are creative, tho, and learn from those you argue with.
so have another pearl......
regards, mark evins do it again 14 times. good. do it again 14 times. good. do it again 14 times.

Then tell your 'teacher' for me that I think he/she is seriously lacking in knowledge of Judo. Tell him/her that I invite them to email me if they are insulted by that thought.
Before you buy.

What are you talking about? The kata are in 'Kodokan Judo'. AOL just lost my post for me and it took a while for me to figure that out.
I did answer your question about gripping.

'Its not my fault!'
However, you completely ignored my suggestion...tell us about your last testing.

It should hardly be a big deal that a post was delayed for a few days. AND the answer is in THE most common resource on Judo. This is not complicated. I am not going to give out personal information that identifies me.
There is nothing very spectacular about our testing anyway. Japanese etiquette is quite uniform, and tests in any of the arts are demonstrations of some basic techniques, some kata, (some bunkai in Karate), and some randori in judo, jujutsu, and aikido.
Look at my description of techniques if you want to see something that does not come out of books.

'4. TAI-OTOSHI (hand technique)
Tai-otoshi is making Uke off balance in a right forward position (or left forward position). Then, Tori spins his body to the left (or right) by stretching his right leg (or left) in front of Uke's right (or left) foot. Tori, then, pulls down Uke's body forward over his stretched leg for a throw.
