Did Bruce Lee really train with Yip Man

I read that Bruce never actually trained with Yip Man since only the senior students got to do that and Bruce wasn't a senior student. So he was taught by other instructors, not the great man himself. Can anyone corroborate this story? I read it in a book written by Davis Miller who wrote the original screenplay for the Curse of the Dragon documentary though they didn't use what he wrote at all. His book (The Tao of Bruce Lee: A Martial Arts Memoir) is more autobiographical than simply about Bruce, but interesting reading all the same.

well, in our 'dojo' we have a picture in the wall of bruce lee practicing chi-sao drills with yip man. they don't look like fakes but i might be wrong

True - but all three were part of Yip Man's school in Hong Kong, and all three received direct transmission from Yip Man. Also, let's not overlook that Bruce also received instruction from Yeung Fook in Gu Lao (or Red Boat) Wing Chun - a lineage of WCK that has no forms - while he was in the US.
